Whole wheat Mac and Cheese
yields - nine 1/2 cup serving
Serving size: 1/2 cup
Weight watchers: 3 pp+
Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups of dried whole-wheat macaroni noodles, boiled according to package directions
- 2 oz light cream cheese
- 1/2 - 1/2 cup milk
- 1 cup grated cheese (you can use any type of cheese - I used half medium cheddar and half Monterrey Jack)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional topping: grated Parmesan cheese or whole-wheat breadcrumbs
Cook pasta according to directions
- Stir in cream cheese
- Stir in cheese
- Add milk
- Season with salt and pepper
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
